School of Soccer is Boise’s most-popular early childhood development soccer program and we are looking to grow our team of qualified and experienced early childhood teachers, and energetic and motivated coaches in and around the Treasure Valley. Using non-competitive, imagery-based curriculum sports activities to develop each individuals' motor skills and promote healthy lifestyles, our vision is to continue creating a unique and positive soccer culture that thrives on excitement, encouragement, development, and teamwork.
School of Soccer is a fast moving, quickly growing, year-round sports organization reaching thousands of kids across the Treasure Valley weekly and offers its' employees flexible schedules, a pathway for growth and development, and a chance to interact with children. As a Youth Soccer Instructor with School of Soccer you will travel to different locations, experiencing different coaching styles and techniques, building strong and positive relationships, and teaching the FUNdamentals to children ages 2 - 10 years of age.
Day-to-day Roles and Responsibilities:
· Be the face and front line of School of Soccer in each class - interact with parents, teachers, directors, and children daily.
· Assist/Teach an energetic and motivating class, connect and challenge each child, and help them to accomplish motor development goals and inspire a love of movement and healthy habits in in an organized, structure, and fun manner.
· Effectively and clearly communicate issues to the office and provide solutions.
· Showing up on time to class, physically and mentally prepared (includes commuting time).
· Equipment set-up and break-down.
· Provide hands-on individual and group attention to children.
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work with athletic equipment etc.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, kneel or crouch, talk and hear.
· Other duties covered by Management.
Compensation starts at $15-$30/per class
Requirements
· Able and willing to travel up to 20-minutes one-way to get to class locations
· Availability must include one or more of the following: Weekday Mornings (9 am – 12 pm) Weekday Afternoons (4 pm – 7 pm) Saturday mornings (8:30 am – 2 pm)
· Punctual, willing to learn and accept feedback.
· Prior experience working with children preferred.
· Must be motivated, energetic, patient, and attentive
· Hands-on, dynamic, and outgoing.
